About Bracknell Nepalese Society

To meet the diverse needs of Bracknell’s growing Nepalese population, the establishment of a community-based organization became essential. As a result, the Bracknell Nepalese Society (BNS) was founded in 2006. In 2014, a decision was made to register BNS as a charitable organisation, and in November of that year, it was officially registered with the Charity Commission.

Since its inception, BNS has played a vital role in helping Nepalese community members integrate smoothly into British society. It has organised programmes to preserve and promote Nepalese cultural traditions while also actively participating in activities that embrace British culture and values.

As a charity company, BNS’s core objectives are:

To promote social inclusion of members of the Nepalese Community living in Bracknell and the surrounding area for the public benefit to relieve the needs of such people and assist them to integrate into society in particular by:

  1. Advancing education in particular by assisting in the provision of English language tuition.
  2. Providing or assisting in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life.
